5One of My Favorite Books  Sep 21, 2010 By LSchaaf
I love this book, and recommend it to everyone who is starting a photography business, whether home-based, location-only, or studio-based. It has some great advice that sometimes goes against all the photographic marketing gurus, but I think it's much more realistic in pricing and marketing than some of the other stuff out there! My favorite tidbit? Your goal as a new photographer should be shoot your first 100 clients, paid, free, however you do it, that should be your goal for experience! It's so true!

4Must have for any beginner photographer or studio  Dec 29, 2009 By Mr. Daniel Kiriro
I read here the recommendations for the early volume and I order this one long before printing date. Turns up that was the best thing I ever did. Am been taking photos now for a life time but its only recentlt I thought of taking it pro and this book has been the one to shown me the way. thank you

5Why is this so cheap?>  Feb 20, 2012 By Zachary Rackovan
This book is a must have for any new studio wanting to start up. I own aborrowedimage.com and this book helped me build my business. I have now a successful photographer because of this book!

5Excellent Book for the Aspiring Photographer  Feb 08, 2012 By Gregory E. Kane
Don't look for any pictures in this book, just plenty of solid basic information. However, do be cautious of the pricing the author does in the book as the prices that you set will vary based on location. There is a lot of reading here, but the information is spot on. We have had a studio going this time for 9 years, and almost without fail we were able to use the book to look back and see the little areas where we went off the track. I have been a professional photographer for 43 years and this is the best start-up book out there.
