If you're a 'visual learner' you can't go wrong with the 'Teach Yourself Visually' series Sep 05, 2007
By Midwest Book Review If you're a 'visual learner' you can't go wrong with the 'Teach Yourself Visually' series, which uses color screen shots and visual clips to cover all the basics - here, of Adobe Photoshop CS3. From sidebars of information and full-color screen shot demos to step-by-step explanations, this approach is the item of choice for any who need specific visuals, and competes well and pointedly with text-oriented tutorials, making it a top pick for any library catering to beginners learning Photoshop CS3.

A very helpful book! Dec 26, 2007

I'm new to the full Photoshop CS3, although I've been an enthusiastic user of all Photoshop Elements versions back to 2.0. I had never bought any of the "Teach Yourself" books before. As I wade through the intricacies of CS3, I am finding this book very helpful. There are easy step by step "how-to's" to follow, including a large section on layers. I would have liked more pages on Bridge, but overall I know I will continue to use and refer to this book often.

Teach yourself Visually Photoshop CS# Oct 21, 2007
By Libby S My husband loves this book. We had checked several out from the public library before purchasing and this was the one he chose to buy. It gets you into the program quickly without have to read manuals the size of phone books! It is easy to find things in and takes you step by step through how to do things. It is reasonable priced also- some were over $50.

Great Beginner Book hands DOWN Oct 06, 2008

I have to laugh at this book. I have been a photoshop user for a long time and was given this book as course material for my intro to photoshop class that i had to take. I in my own record time finished this book in a week and half. I didnt really learn much from this book, but it was fun doing it. Dont let that scare you, this book is great for a beginner and touches on some great key facts for a beginner that needs to know, i just have been using photoshop for awhile and knew alot of the functions. I do feel that this book does not cover all the basics or features like some of the top need to know 100 how tos. In the long run, this is a great starting book for a user that wants to learn Photoshop CS3

AWESOME Book for Visual Learners! Feb 11, 2008

I loved this book! It's easy to read and understand for visual people who'd like an overview of PS CS3. I'm in a whole new level as far as making extractions and with layers. If you're a power PS user this book will be too basic for you.
