No reason not to like it! Jun 17, 2000 I use these Sony tapes in my Sony DCR-TRV310 Digital 8 camcorder. The quality is great, even after you record over it. Sixty minutes in D8 is fine for me and I see no reason to disapprove of the tape's performance!

Good tape Jun 14, 2000
By Patricia Meyer Captures great in a Sony TR7000 camcorder. Works great in both Hi8 and Digital8 modes, though only captures 60 minutes in Digital8 format. The tapes retained clarity and sound quality after multiple edits. The material of the tape is the second-highest quality used in Sony tapes.

Good basic tapes Feb 14, 2009

"Handy"
These are good basic tapes for use in my eight year old Sony Digital8 camera. I hope they keep making these tapes for at least a few more years. Why get a new camera when I can get really good video with all the features I need to transfer them onto DVD using this older camera?
I got a decent price on Amazon buying them one tape at a time. It still comes out to be cheaper than driving over to Best Buy - and they come right to my door.

Expensive, but good quality and dependable..... Jan 17, 2007

I have a SONY Digital 8mm and I've tried a variety of tapes. For most purposes, other tapes are comparable. However, if you are fussy about color, especially flesh tones, sunsets and unusual lighting, you may find this tape a bit more vibrant. For many purposes, however, other tapes can give you equal performance for less money.
It has also been my experience that these tapes are rugged and can be used again and again. These seem to hold up well and this may or may not be true of other vendors. I think any reputable company makes comparable tapes in terms of durability, but if you are looking for high quality video, then you may feel the extra money is worth the marginal additional cost.

By adib motiwala I bought two Sony 120 Minute Hi8 casettes for my sharp camcorder. I used it over the long weekend. The recording was just phenomenal. On playback,it seems as if all the events happen again. It is a must buy.
