5Great book  Apr 20, 2005 By C. Schneider
It's facinating to see the way the city has changed, the author has some good history and trivia throughout the pages as well.

If you are from San Diego or have ever lived here, this makes a great coffee table book.

5Beautiful!  Dec 18, 2006 By MommyTo2
This is one of two San Diego photo books I purchased for my husbands birthday. Absolutly beautiful! The black and white photography really captures some of the details that are lost in color photos.

5San Diego.. Forever !  Jan 30, 2011 By Carol Craig
I lived in San Diego, from 1953-1988, and moved to Arizona...why, I don't quite know. Took yet another trip to back to San Diego with my husband in 2010 and Ohhh how I miss my home town. The beaches... La Jolla Cove, OB and Mission Beach. Go Law Street ! This book shows so many of my best memories from Mission Valley and along The Avenue ( El Cajon Blvd), Balboa Park, "old" San Diego and now...the "new" San Diego. If anyone loves San Diego, no matter what the era this is a must-have book. The photos, then and now, just stop my heart. The research is excellent and I have learned so may new facts about where I grew up. Thank you so much Nancy Hendrickson. You have created my new favorite book.

5Slice of history.... beautifully captured!  Jun 22, 2011 By SOCalGal
I really enjoyed the book. Its a slice of history and growth for SAN DIEGO! I think each story attahced is very informational, and i like the lay out. The pics are great quality especially given half are early century pics. This book will be a treasure for my family to discuss. Even great for kids to learn about devolopment and change.
I recommend this book to everyone. Its a great conversation piece. and it allows us to see the design integrity upheld in the bldgs still today.

5Awesome book for anyone interested in America's finest city  May 25, 2011 By Nicholas A. Gomogda
I'm from San Diego and it's so cool to compare and contrast different areas I've grown up with. There is also some hidden facts and cool info on a lot of historic sites around SD that i didnt know about. Great coffee table book for anyone who likes San Diego!
