For anyone hunting for a job I highly recommend this book, it's a must read. It has helped me write my resume many times over the last few years. Better yet, it's helped me to get a number of jobs, including the one I'm at now that I started working at in December when the job market really fell apart.
Come to think of it that is the real test of a resume book, can it help you get a job when the job market is really bad? Take your time and read it carefully and thoughtfully, Tom really knows what he is talking about.

Perhaps there are better but I'm not aware of them.
I've been using Resume Power since I first read a version back in the '80s. I improved my resume significantly after using this tool and landed two simultaneous job offers after months and months of refection letters. His section on the Systematic Job Search and Salary Negotiations are brilliant.
As an employer, I've seen tons of resumes and yours will definitely rise to the top of the pile if you follow the advice in this book.
