Containing a step-by-step guide to the power marketing method—a systematic, proactive approach that takes advantage of the best possible resources available—photographers will learn how to understand their customers, identify their hook, and establish program goals and objectives. Five of the biggest and most oft-encountered mistakes made by both new and struggling studios are discussed, as well as how to establish an effective pricing strategy and become comfortable with self-promotion. 5A terrific resource  Nov 01, 2009 By AvidReader
I'll definitely place this one on my "active" bookshelf. There's so much here that it's impossible to digest it all in one sitting. Lots of thought-provoking questions, insightful interviews and case studies. Well worth the cost!

1You've got to be kidding  Apr 09, 2011 By jack
Misspelling galore. Really soft on reality, really big on fantasy marketing. Any true professional who practices disaster marketing will reap the results. This advice is as old as
as history itself. It's called rip off.

1If your card is printed on thin paper stock with faded black ink ...  May 30, 2011 By Vo Blinn
Good day, everyone!

Firstly, my own and, therefore, very subjective opinion: pass on this item,
unless you run a well established business and would like to read about
your peers.
Country, golf, yacht or other-what's-not club members - dive into, enjoy the reading.

Those in trenches, trying to build it, look around for Zack Arias's
"Foundations of a Working Photographer": you might find it educating and encouraging.
(Disclaimer: not even indirectly affiliated with Mr. Arias)

Secondly, would like to bring Midwest Book Review (Oregon) to your attention:
[...] (Amazon deleted the link to it's own page)

At the time of writing, whoever stands behind that name created almost 62K 5-star reviews.
This item didn't escape their attention.

Resume: next time you sort books by the rating, take a look at who provided it.

Thank you for your time.

1Use spell check  Jan 13, 2010 By Eric Scott
Many photographers in the book (who I either know or have met) want to boast about what they want you to think is reality. Really it is just their ego speaking. This book must have at least hundreds of misspelled words. A few good suggestions but over all a very poorly written book.
