3Reasonably decent fisheye  Apr 02, 2009 By Josh Daniel S. Davis "xaminmo"
This is a 52mm screw base with adapter rings for 55mm and 58mm.

The fish-eye lense is recessed a bit, so at full witch, there is substantial black ring of fisheye lense body visible around the edges. This isn't mereli vignetting, rather, you'll have a truly round image with a bubble in the middle.

Beyond that, at about middle zoom, the fish-eye is moderate and FoV is acceptable. The raw image quality is nice, and the threads are good aluminum.

This is bulky enough I wouldn't leave it on the camera while not in use, but it's not too bad to lug around attached to the stock lense from the A100. Ideally, the short, macro lense would be used in place of the stock 18-70mm lense if you want to use this extensively.

All camera functions worked properly with this lense installed, and autofocus was normal.

3Mounting to a Sony Alpha 100  Jan 31, 2010 By O. Dubbeldam
The lens came also with another lens for the Sony Alpha-100. Where the other lens had a ring adapter to mount it directly to the body of the Sony DSLR, with this lens it was a bit difficult to learn how this lens had to be mounted. It needs to be fitted on the end of a standard lens. So it looks a bit strange to do this for the first time. Once understood it gives the options as expected with such a lens. Although still a bit difficult to operate. The description should have been more clear that this lens is intented to be fitted on a standard lens and not on the body itself.
