5Good Value, Fast Delivery  Jul 18, 2010
This fisheye lens does exactly what I had hoped for. I have a Nikon D5000 and enjoy experimenting with different filters and lenses. The price on the Opteka was competitive and the service, packing and delivery time were excellent. Very happy with this purchase.

5will not fit on a 52mm nikor lense  Jun 26, 2010
over all this is a good concept for a fisheye lense, get awsome macro shots! But my only regret is that it will not fit my 52mm nikon lense. Not even with the adapter rings. Not a big loss thought I have three other lenses it will fit on, two of them are for my 35mm camera so I lose auto focus if I use them with my D60. ok after using this product more I discovered that I was putting it on wrong, I was trying to use it on my 52mm lense with an adapter ring when it was not needed. So it does fit directly on my lense with AF. This is a fun product, and great for macros. I realy do love using it whenever I can.

5very happy with it  Jun 03, 2010
I have always wanted to experiment with a fisheye lens, but it was never in my budget to purchase one till i found this. Honestly, its not something you use everyday but, if you like to experiment like me, i think you will be happy with it. It screws into the front of any lens but the distortion is most noticeable under 40mm, over 40mm still gives you a very wide angle (55mm with fisheye looks like 18mm without) but without the circular feel. It fits a 52mm lens but comes with adapters to fit 55, 58 and 67mm lenses.

5good fisheye for the creative  Feb 24, 2010
im no professional photographer but i enjoy arty shots. this fisheye is perfect. it screws right onto the current lense of my nikon d40. there is obvious blurring around the edges but it doesnt bother me. overall a great purchase. the images given with the description of this item are exactly how the picutre looks

3Good, but dont think I'd buy it again.  Jan 01, 2010
You get what you pay for with this lens adapter. It's heavy for as small as it is, it definitely doesn't feel like cheap plastic. The optics are not super crisp though. The best use I've found for this is funny/creative macro shots where you can get the lens right up on the subject. There's a sweet spot on the center of the lens that will let you get fairly sharp focus. Not far outside of that area everything is cool and bent looking but it is really blurry. Not blurry in a nice bokeh kind of way, just distorted and cheap looking blurry. If you have photoshop you can get practically the same look from a zoom blur filter. If you want something for spontaneous off-the wall snapshot quality images, this works great. If you're wanting something to create prints from or use professionally this probably is not a good solution.
