Average results on a 1.6x camera Jul 15, 2010 Image clarity: average (bad at edges) - some of this is up to the photographer, of course
Ease of fitting on lens: very good (this was on an 18-55 kit lens)
I was trying this converter for fun (my first time with a fish-eye) on a Canon Rebel XSi. The price of $50 wasn't bad, I guess. If I really got into taking fish-eye pics, I would buy a better lens, I think, and not a converter.
Blurry and Useless Jul 09, 2010 47th Street Photo rocks as they are taking back this useless lens. It only cost me a 15% restocking charge and the shipping to send it back to learn my lesson that you get what you pay for.
I'm not a pro by any means and I wasn't expecting much from this low cost lens but what it delivered wasn't even usable, I deleted every photo I took with it.
I tried for a week to make this lens work on my Xti using the 18-55mm lens it came with as well as the Canon fixed 50mm lens. Yes the center of the shots are fairly sharp but the 15% of the shot to the left and 15% of the shot to the right are blurry. 30% of the shot is blurred? What good is that? I tried it with a tripod and remote trigger and got the same result.
I strongly suggest everyone avoid this lens.

Changing a negative to a positive Jun 13, 2010 Hiya. Item is a great, affordable, alternative to a high end wide angle or fish eye.
I had left a negative review a couple of months ago because I wanted to return this item as I decided to
invest in a proper wide angle, and I had an extremely difficult time attempting to contact the seller.
They did end up contacting me directly and resolving my issue (unfortunately, too late for me to remove
my feedback). Just wanted to hold up my end of the bargain. They did return the item for a full refund.

Fun inexpensive conversion lens Jun 08, 2010 This lens is quite nifty, and for the price the quality is good as far as the materials it is made out of. If you use the suggested settings of 18mm and focus at infinity it works really well. The higher your mm the less of the effect you will get, and after about 24mm its all gone. at 18mm your image is a complete circle, and once you start to zoom you lose that edge, but as you lose it you lose the effect. The edge of the lens cause a blur on the images, I'm thinking its due to the glass or coating on the elements that distorts it, but overall the center of your image is crisp and the blur isn't that distracting. Yes, a real fish eye will not have these quality issues, but then again a real fish eye lens costs $650 dollars more than this lens because. If you're on a budget or do not plan on using this professionally I think this is a great addition to anyone's kit, due to the fact that the images taken are really interesting, and the lens is quite inexpensive.

exactly what we'd hoped for Jun 02, 2010 After reading many reviews on different fisheye lenses and adapters, we chose this one for our 16 yr. old. We weren't interested in the expense of a stand alone fisheye, but wanted enough quality for our son to have some fun w/o breaking the bank. This lens adapter is great... It easily attached to our Canon EOS Rebel T1i. The pictures are clear. It's exactly what we'd hoped for.
