Usually ships in 1-2 business days | | | | | | Since it fits right over your camera's existing lens system, a wide-angle and telephoto converter affects the full zoom range of your camera's lens. A wide-angle converter increases your angle of view - scenes include more of the landscape, groups include more people, and interiors show more of the room. A .5x wide-angle converter DOUBLES your angle of view, allowing you to get twice as much in the picture (AND your telephoto setting also becomes wider; not zooming in as close). A .2x converter will double your camera's maximum focal length, bringing things twice as close. An Opteka conversion lens can actually improve the image that your digital camera receives, and it's about the only accessory that can. By eliminating flare and ghosting, the ugly cousins of reflection and refraction, before they get to your camera's original lens system, your camera gets a much cleaner image to digitize. Plus, an Opteka converter allows you to use a more optimal part of your original lens system, resulting in more crisp imagery. Nothing changes the way you see the world like High Definition², and no company does High Definition² like Opteka. In the professional setting, Opteka's glass optics define High Definition. Change the way you view the world. Enjoy outstanding detail, enjoy enhanced clarity and enjoy Opteka. With an Opteka 5 piece Lens/Camera cleaning kit it contains everything you need to maintain your Digital Camera! It cleans hard to reach lenses, protects battery contacts, and is very easy and safe to use. Works excellent for lenses, cameras, filters, and it also easily cleans LCD panels. They are not bad.
But 2 x Telephoto lens has center axial strain. Reduce the forcus some times.

Great for the price Jan 31, 2009
By R. Kinneard Surprised at the quality of the wide angle lens. On my vixia hf10 it works very well. A real bargain! The 2x lens has a tunnel effect when zoomed back. Buy this at a fraction of the cost of the cannon wide angle and just throw the 2x lens away. The little tripod is cute but fairly limited use as the camera wants to tip over easily. It does work well with my digital still point and shoot. You can't go too far wrong for the price.

Not the best, not the worst. Oct 19, 2008

I started using the telephoto lens and when I zoomed in close to the action, everything looked slightly blurred. Cleaned all lenses and tried again and still the same. Lens quality was not great. The wide angle lens was awesome while recording on my Canon HF100... until I viewed the video and noticed that I could see a good deal of the lens edge on the right top and bottom corners of the tv. I couldn't see this through the camera lcd screen but it was obvious on the television.
This was very disheartening and unacceptable and I will try and exchange the lenses to see if they will send me something more acceptable. Otherwise, I'll just end up buying the more expensive Canon lenses that are much better crafted.

Great for the money, just don't expect the best. Sep 15, 2009

To start, two lenses and a cleaning kit for the price of a cleaning kit is amazing and does greatly increase the capability of your camera. However, if you are wanting to receive the best quality for your digital camera purchase from the name brand but it may cost anywhere from $60 to $340 per lens, sometimes it's worth it but in most cases it's not.
.5x Wide Angle Lens - This lens pleasantly surprised me. It does exactly what I wanted it to do, its great to use with a car mount and is ideal for landscapes. It works well with my camera and it only goes out of focus if you zoom in x2 or more, but if you're zooming all that much you probably shouldn't be using a wide angle in the first place.
2x telephoto Lens - This one is nothing more than acceptable, you once again cannot zoom as much as you regularly could, which is odd considering that's what it's supposed to enhance and you get about 1.5x the regular zoom rather than 2x before it gets blurry. But you have to remember, you paid $15 for this so you're still definitely getting your moneys worth. However, if you're purchasing this just to have a good telephoto lens, spend a little extra money.
7 Piece Digital Camera Necessity Kit - A few very basic yet great things to have if you own a camera, I don't really have anything all that good or bad to say about it, its just flat out basic and in my mind a nice bonus.
Opteka .5x and 2x lens Nov 11, 2011
By Siddharth Gupta Fast shipping and works excellent! I own a Canon Vixia HF10 and this is exactly what I needed. The .5x lens gives me the ability to film in small/compact areas, but still get enough visuals for the shot I need, and for the 2x lens, I am able to film things that are far away, such as concerts or live theatre plays. Thank you so much 47st. Photo for selling an excellent condition product! <3
I made a quick video of the lens test here when I was eating dinner:
