Dynamics AX Professional - This is an MBA level of knowledge about AX packed into a book of this size Apr 08, 2009
By Brandon George
"Dynamics AX Pro of the South"
Let me say that this book by Scott, his latest in this series, is by far the best book out there that attempts to cover so much needed knolwedge.
The knolwedge level gained is for sure an MBA level, and the structure used to deliver this knolwedge fits right into the structure Microsoft delivered for the information worker with Dynamics AX 2009.

I recommend this book to any Dynamics AX pro or customer that is looking to really get as much benefit out of Dynamics AX as possible.
I am looking forward to Scott's next release, which will include Lean Manufacturing. (Lean Manufacturing was just pre-released to the Partner community)

A tremendous resource for upgrading to AX 2009 Mar 08, 2009
By Jim, ERP Consultant Dr. Hamilton has written many great texts and has a long history with ERP systems in general. He now also has multiple years and releases of AX. Aside from this being a great resource for anyone new to AX, it's a great resource for AX 3.0 and 4.0 users evaluating or planning their move to AX 2009. The book provides thorough coverage of the new costing, requisition and distribution functionality along with all the details needed to understand the multisite and production unit concepts. For AX users, this is a great book to both help you get started and to keep as a reference as you expand your implementation after the initial go live. As a consultant, it's something I'll use to help understand pieces of functionality that are new to me or as an expert reference when working with companies in various industries.

A handy reference book for any AX process mfg implementation Mar 04, 2009
By KnowledgeSearcher Having read a prerelease copy of Scott's book. I would say it is a great book for someone implementing the new AX capabilities for process manufacturing, that wants to quickly ramp up their knowledge within a short time or for experienced AX users that want a handy reference book.
Scott's book provides a detailed coverage of the new AX capabilities for process manufacturing and explanations of the incremental differences. The complete walkthrough of managing a process business using AX is an excellent tool for new users. I have used some of Scott's previous books about AX in my implementations, which also provided the same level of in-depth analysis and thoughtful insights.

A real find for consultants new to Dynamics AX Feb 27, 2009
By Cindy L. Hitt As a long-time consultant for retail distribution firms (mostly Oracle implementations), I was recently confronted with a need to learn about Dynamics AX as quickly as possible. I found this book to be a gold mine for me. It walked me through the system in a step by step logical sequence. I haven't seen anything like it for other ERP packages!
