5TONS OF FUN!  Aug 09, 2011 By J. Manning
This book is overflowing with wonderful images. I bought it to use in my collages & it's perfect. There's just about anything you'd want inside this book... farm animals, birds, flowers, fish, transportation, furniture, food, hats, military, music, etc, etc. It is full of bunches of delicious & delightful images!

1Beware  Nov 27, 2011 By dayzee
Clip art may not mean what you think it does. I own several Dover collections of 19th Century clip art, which I have used in collage work. Though it says "copyright free" and "royalty free" on the covers and in every description, I recently noticed that all my Dover clip art books have a small paragraph on the copyright page that limits usage of the images (this page does not appear in the sample pages on Amazon), and it does not make allowances for users who alter the images. I contacted Dover for clarification on the issue and received a form letter that basically repeated what was in the book. They will not talk to you by phone. I thought that because these images were originally in the public domain and because I paid Dover for the book, and because I significantly altered the images, I wasn't doing anything wrong. However, I recently talked with a lawyer and was not reassured. I am still looking for answers on this, but I am not buying any more Dover books until I know more.

4The book is interesting and intelligently designed.  Jan 24, 2012 By Boyan Durankev
The book is interesting and intelligently designed. History of advertising is illustrated with very nice and beautiful illustrations that bring us back to her "romantic" era. In this era advertising was not only a means to generate profits, and valued art.
